Born
on
November
28th,
1956
in
Albert
Lea,
Minnesota
as
the
eldest
of
four
children,
Mr.
Henriksen
grew
up
in
the
city
of
Coon
Rapids,
a
suburb
of
Minneapolis,
Minnesota.
In
June
1975,
immediately
after
graduating
from
Coon
Rapids
Senior
High
School,
Mr.
Henriksen
went
on
active
duty
with
the
U.S.
Army
and
underwent
Basic
Combat
Training
at
Fort
Leonard
Wood,
Missouri.
After
he
completed
basic
training,
Mr.
Henriksen
was
transferred
to
Fort
McClellan,
Alabama,
where
he
attended
the
Basic
Law
Enforcement
Course.
After
graduating
from
the
military
police
course,
Mr. Henriksen
was
transferred
to
Fort
Carson,
Colorado,
where
he
worked
as a
military
policeman
and
investigator
with
the
4th
Infantry
Division
(Mechanized).
In
1987,
Mr.
Henriksen
was
transferred
to
Berlin,
Germany
and
assigned
duty
with
the
Berlin
Brigade.
During
his
tour
in
Berlin,
which
was
still
divided
by
the
Berlin
Wall
as a
result
of
the
Cold
War
between
the
United
States
and
the
Soviet
Union,
Mr.
Henriksen
performed
a
number
of
law
enforcement
duties
in
the
American
Sector,
culminating
in
his
assignment
as
Non-Commissioned
Officer
in
Charge
of
Allied
Checkpoints
Bravo
and
Charlie,
which
were
the
American
crossing
points
into
East
Berlin
through
the
infamous
Berlin
Wall.
In
1982,
after
his
departure
from
Berlin,
Mr. Henriksen
attended
the
U.S.
Army
Special
Agent
Criminal
Investigation
Course
at
Fort
McClellan,
Alabama
and
after
graduation,
was
appointed
a
special
agent
criminal
investigator
with
the
U.S.
Army
Criminal
Investigation
Command
and
assigned
to
Fort
Campbell,
Kentucky
with
the
101st
Airborne
Division
(Air
Assault).
As a
criminal
investigator
for
the
Department
of
the
Army,
Mr.
Henriksen
was
responsible
for
investigating
all
felony
crimes
involving
military
personnel
or
incidents
where
the
Department
of
the
Army
was
an
interested
party.
In
June
1995,
with
more
than
twenty
years
of
military
service,
Mr. Henriksen
retired
from
active
duty
with
the
rank
of
Chief
Warrant
Officer.
During
his
military
career,
in
addition
to
his
service
at
Fort
Carson
and
Berlin,
Mr.
Henriksen
served
tours
of
duty
in
various
locations
in
Europe
with
the
U.S.
Army-Europe;
the
Republic
of
Korea
with
the
2nd
Infantry
Division;
the
war
torn
nation
of
Somalia
in
East
Africa
with
the
10th
Mountain
Division
(Light)
as
part
of
Operation
Restore
Hope;
and
special
duty
assignments
with
the
Department
of
Defense
providing
dignitary
security
for
the
Secretary
of
Defense
and
other
senior
government
officials.
Mr.
Henriksen
began
teaching
at
Sycamore
High
School
in
1999,
starting
with
8th
Grade
U.S.
History
and
9th
Grade
World
Geography.
Since
2002,
Mr.
Henriksen’s
primary
focus
has
been
the
Advanced
U.S.
History
and
Advanced
Modern
European
History
courses.
In
addition
to
serving
as
the
chair
of
the
Social
Studies
Department,
Mr. Henriksen
has
also
taught
several
elective
courses
pertaining
to
the
forensic
sciences.
Mr.
Henriksen
is a
1978
graduate
of
Colorado
Technical
College
with
an
Associate
of
Applied
Science
Degree
in
Criminal
Justice;
a
1986
graduate
of
the
University
of
Maryland
with
a
Bachelor
of
Science
degree
in
Management;
and
a
1999
graduate
of
Austin
Peay
State
University
with
a
Bachelor
of
Arts
degree
in
History.
He
is
currently
working
on
his
graduate
degree
in
military
history
at
Austin
Peay
State
University,
Clarksville,
Tennessee.
Mr.
Henriksen
has
a
son,
two
daughters,
five
granddaughters
and
a
grandson,
all
of
whom
reside
in
Clarksville,
Tennessee.
Mr.
Henriksen
currently
resides
in
Pleasant
View,
Tennessee
with
an
extremely
spoiled
cat
who
believes
that
his
human’s
sole
reason
for
existence
is
to
cater
to
his
every
