Biography:
Originally
from
Alabama,
Mr.
Lane
Miller
grew
up
in
Middle
and
East
TN.
A
graduate
of
Brainerd
High
School
in
Chattanooga,
Mr.
Miller
attended
Tennessee
Tech
University
in
Cookeville
where
he
earned
a
Bachelor
of
Science
degree
in
finance
with
a
minor
in
history.
Later
while
teaching
and
coaching
at
the
Ensworth
School
in
Nashville,
Mr.
Miller
earned
a
master’s
degree
in
administration
and
supervision
from
Tennessee
State
University.
In
addition
to
teaching
history
and
geography
Mr.
Miller
has
coached
boys’
and
girls’
teams
in
basketball
and
cross
country
at
both
Ensworth
and
Harding
Academy.
He
also
was
the
athletic
director
at
Harding,
and
while
there
served
as
president
of
the
Harpeth
Valley
Athletic
Conference,
a
middle
school
athletic
association
made
up
of
private
and
public
schools
in
Davidson
and
Williamson
Counties.
Mr.
Miller
has
two
grown
children,
one
daughter
who
will
soon
graduate
from
University
of
Miami
and
an
older
son
who
graduated
from
U.T.
in
2006
and
currently
resides
in
Germany.
When
not
teaching
Mr.
Miller
enjoys
reading,
hiking,
bicycling
and
wilderness
canoeing.
He
is
also
and
avid
Vandy
fan. |
