Biography:
Miss
Mason
attended
Pleasant
View
Elementary,
Sycamore
Junior
High,
and
graduated
as
an
honor
student
from
Cheatham
County
High
School.
She
received
a
Bachelor
of
Science
degree
from
David
Lipscomb
University
with
an
emphasis
in
instrumental
music
education
and
a
second
endorsement
in
English.
She
then
taught
reading,
general
music,
and
choir
at
Portland
Middle
School
in
Sumner
county.
Miss
Mason
returned
to
Cheatham
county
to
teach
general
music
and
choir
at
Sycamore
Middle
School.
She
taught
there
until
the
current
high
school
building
was
built.
She
has
been
teaching
at
Sycamore
High
ever
since.
During
that
time
she
graduated
summa
cum
laude
from
Austin
Peay
State
University
with
a
master's
degree
in
vocal
education.
In
2004,
Miss
Mason
was
voted
as
one
of
Fox
17's
Teachers
of
the
Week.
Miss
Mason
is a
member
of
the
American
Choral
Directors'
Association,
the
Middle
Tennessee
Vocal
Association,
and
the
Music
Educators
National
Conference.
In
her
spare
time,
Miss
Mason
enjoys
reading
mystery
and
suspense
novels
and
spending
time
outdoors. |
