Mary
Maxwell
is
deeply
passionate
about
learning
and
personally
desires
to
grow
intellectually,
artistically,
and
spiritually.
Not
only
is
she
a
life-long
learner,
she
is
also
dedicated
to
being
an
inspiring
teacher
who
makes
a
difference
in
young
peoples’
lives.
She
received
a
Bachelor
of
Fine
Arts
from
APSU
in
1987.
She
worked
in
the
film,
video,
and
multi-media
industry
for
fifteen
years.
Five
years
into
her
career
she
took
a
two-year
sabbatical
and
served
as a
Peace
Corps
volunteer
in
Poland
as a
teacher.
It
was
then
that
she
discovered
she
truly
enjoyed
teaching
and
mentoring
teens.
In
2004,
she
decided
to
make
a
career
change
and
went
back
to
university
to
get
her
teaching
certification
and
received
her
Masters
of
Education
in
Curriculum
and
Instruction
from
TSU
in
2006.
Her
personal
interests
include
traveling,
all
things
outdoors,
reading,
dabbling
in
art,
and
studying
the
bible.
