Mrs. Kellum
is a 1999
graduate of
Cheatham
County
Central High
School. She
attended
Austin Peay
State
University
and
graduated
Magna Cum
Laude with a
Bachelor's
in Nursing
in May of
2003.
Following
graduation,
and after
receiving
her license
as a
Registered
Nurse, she
accepted a
position at
Baptist
Hospital in
Nashville,
in Plastic
Surgery, and
Gynecology.
Throughout
her next 4
years of
nursing she
gained
experience
in the
fields of
Neurology,
Urology,
Pediatrics,
and
Med-Surge as
well. In
January
2006, she
was married
to her
husband
Shane, and
in February
2007 they had
heir son
Xavier, who
is now 2
1/2, and the
light of
their lives.
This is her
first year
here at SHS,
and her
first year
teaching as
well. She
teaches the
Health
Science
courses,
which
comprises
medical
classes for
students
interested
in going
into the
medical
field. Mrs.
Kellum is
also the
HOSA Club
Sponsor. She
plans to
begin
graduate
school to
start on her
Masters in
May. She
will be
going for a
Double
Masters in
Nursing to
incorporate
a Masters in
Nursing as a
Family Nurse
Practitioner
(FNP), and a
Masters in
Nursing
Education.
